Free Community Table
Every Tuesday, the Brandywine Food Pantry will also have a Free Community Table of food. This will include items from Giant, Dollar General, and our pantry that are nearing expiration. We cannot guarantee specific items, but often have bread, baked goods, milk, produce, and a handful of non-perishable items.
Anyone is welcome to come pick up free food. You do not have to be registered with the Food Pantry nor do you have to have an appointment. The Community Free Table is located at the Brandywine Food Pantry in St. Peter’s UCC in Topton (please enter through the back door off the parking lot).
Free Food will be available on Tuesdays. Hours will be every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and the first, second and third Tuesday of the month from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Only patrons with an appointment will be let into the building before 10:00 am.
If you need to visit our full pantry of items, please make an appointment by calling (484) 861-7117. Those coming for appointments will continue to have access to our Free Community Table during their regular appointment time (as well as the full pantry). HOWEVER if you do not have an appointment you can ONLY access the Free Community Table during the above hours.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We are now part of Friend, Inc. of Kutztown. What does that mean for us?
Through Friend, Inc. we have access to more resources, volunteer trainings, and are able to provide for the needs of our community in the best ways possible.
This includes being part of Helping Harvest, the organization through Feeding America that provides over 9 million pounds of food a year to residents in need of Berks and Schuylkill counties.
What does that mean for you?
You have a better Food Pantry to serve you, just minutes away from where you live, that allows you to pick your own food and has both daytime and evening hours. The pantry is located at St. Peter’s UCC in Topton.
We are able to provide more variety of food including cold and frozen items like produce, dairy, meat, freezer meals, and more!
How can I visit the pantry?
Call (484) 861-7117 to make an appointment. If no one picks up, please leave a message and your call will be returned. We have appointments available the first three Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
We schedule appointments to allow each person to have a private shopping experience.
When you come for your first appointment, there will be a short form that needs to be filled out.
Can I still donate to the pantry?
Please do! There are many items that are still difficult for us to get through Helping Harvest/Friend, Inc. You can always contact the pantry to see what is specifically needed — though we are often in need of toilet paper, paper products, and toiletries. Cash donations are also appreciated.

In early February 2025, Brandywine Food Pantry shared some of the exciting changes since coming under the umbrella of Friend Inc. Community Services.
One of these major transformations was being able to provide you with produce, meats, dairy, frozen items, and more — check out our stocked up fridge and freezer!
