Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We are now part of Friend, Inc. of Kutztown. What does that mean for us?
Through Friend, Inc. we have access to more resources, volunteer trainings, and are able to provide for the needs of our community in the best ways possible.
This includes being part of Helping Harvest, the organization through Feeding America that provides over 9 million pounds of food a year to residents in need of Berks and Schuylkill counties.
What does that mean for you?
You have a better Food Pantry to serve you, just minutes away from where you live, that allows you to pick your own food and has both daytime and evening hours. The pantry is located at St. Peter’s UCC in Topton.
We are able to provide more variety of food including cold and frozen items like produce, dairy, meat, freezer meals, and more!
How can I visit the pantry?
Call (484) 861-7117 to make an appointment. If no one picks up, please leave a message and your call will be returned. We have appointments available the first three Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
We schedule appointments to allow each person to have a private shopping experience.
When you come for your first appointment, there will be a short form that needs to be filled out.
Can I still donate to the pantry?
Please do! There are many items that are still difficult for us to get through Helping Harvest/Friend, Inc. You can always contact the pantry to see what is specifically needed — though we are often in need of toilet paper, paper products, and toiletries. Cash donations are also appreciated.

In early February, Brandywine Food Pantry shared some of the exciting changes since coming under the umbrella of Friend Inc. Community Services.
One of these major transformations was being able to provide you with produce, meats, dairy, frozen items, and more — check out our stocked up fridge and freezer!
