Our 17th Annual Brake the Cycle bike ride is scheduled for August 8, 2026!
One of Berks County’s premier cycling events, Brake the Cycle of Poverty delivers a beautiful day through the rolling hills and scenic landscape across some of Pennsylvania’s most beautiful terrain. 62, 40, 25, and 10 miles routes offer something for everyone!
Launching from Rickenbach Learning Center, at Kutztown University, the benefit bicycle ride will be held rain or shine, with post-ride food, drinks and live music by Maddy Kas after the event!

One of the more important ways we raise critical program funding is through crowdfunding. Anything raised over $300 is eligible for a prize for the most raised. First place is a $100 Giant gift card, Second place is a $50 Giant gift card.
